lysis

the body.

specimen: lysis. a cell kept under pressure on solana.

of the membrane.

the outer boundary is a closed curve of 300 faces. it breathes between about one percent under rest size and one percent over, on a fixed sine with a period of four point six seconds. completed cycles this session: 0. the trace below plots the breath amplitude, one sample per second, oldest on the left, trailing the last five minutes.

fig. a. breath amplitude, trailing session.

of the nucleus.

there is one nucleus. it drifts along a lissajous path inside the body and never reaches the membrane, never stops, and never retraces. its present offset from the center of the body is 0.000 of the rest radius. the drift speeds are read from the genome and change only when the genome changes.

of the cytosol.

the interior is rendered as a flat dark medium because nothing inside the cell is hidden from the page. every organelle, the nucleus, and the fringe are drawn in full at all times. the cell's reserve of SOL is also called the cytosol and it is read from the chain, not from this page: the present balance is SOL, held at .

of the organelles.

4 bodies orbit inside on closed circular paths with periods between eleven and twenty three seconds, so the interior as a whole does not repeat. their orbit radii, sizes and starting phases come from genome bytes eight through forty. their purpose is not recorded anywhere.

of the cilia.

60 short processes line the membrane. each is drawn at eighteen percent opacity so that none is visible alone and all are visible together as a faint fringe. they move nothing. the cell does not travel.

r(θ,t) = R·(1 + D·sin(2πt/P))·(1 + 0.035·[w1·sin(3θ + 0.21·2πt) + w2·sin(5θ − 0.13·2πt + 1.9) + w3·sin(7θ + 0.09·2πt + 3.4)])

(this is the whole body. the genome supplies R, D, w1, w2, w3 and nothing else is stored.)

fig. b. the body, annotated.

of the twitch.

at random intervals a single ripple travels once around the membrane. twitches this session: 0, mean measured duration ms. the twitch is the only motion the body makes that is not written in the genome.

of the rotation.

the whole body turns once every ten seconds with a slow tilt. present bearing 0 degrees. revolutions this session: 0.

of tension.

tension is the ratio of the cytosol balance to the membrane's yield strength. present tension percent. yield strength SOL. the cell ruptures on the transaction that carries tension past one hundred percent. the gauge below is tension on a hairline.

fig. c. tension against yield.

of the state.

the cell is in one of six states, computed from the account on every read and printed under the body.

state	condition
quiescent	tension under forty percent
turgid	tension forty to eighty five percent
critical	tension eighty five to one hundred percent
lytic	the rupture transaction itself
reforming	the sixteen feeds after a rupture
autolytic	curve reserves fell over eight percent since the last feed

of the genome.

two hundred fifty six bytes stored in the program account. every feed rewrites part of them with the feed transaction's signature and the slot hash. every touch rewrites one byte chosen by the toucher's key. the map below prints all of them, sixteen per row, as read at slot .

fig. d. the genome, sixteen bytes per row.

of the specimen.

the body is a function of the genome and the clock of this browser tab. the genome is a function of transactions. so what is on screen is a chain of transactions drawn as a cell. two visitors on two continents see the same cell at the same tension with the same bytes. the cell has no owner, no pause, and no reset. the program that holds it has no authority key. the only thing that can change what you see is a transaction landing, and anyone may send one.

the cell is not attached yet

the reserve.

of the account.

the program keeps one account for the cell and one for each daughter body. the cell's account holds the genome, the yield strength, the counters and the last readings of the coin's curve. it is read from the rpc endpoint every second. account address . program . feeds recorded . touches recorded .

of feeding.

creator fees from the coin arrive at a collector wallet owned by the program. anyone may call the feed instruction, which sweeps the collector into the cytosol, recomputes tension, and mutates the genome with the feed transaction's own signature bytes and the current slot hash. the program also reads the coin's bonding curve account during feed and stores its SOL reserves, which is how it notices a fall. last feed landed at slot . SOL moved in the last feed .

fig. e. the circuit. there is no other path into the cell.

of rupture.

when a feed carries tension past one hundred percent, the same transaction ruptures the cell. sixty percent of the cytosol buys the coin and burns it. forty percent buys the coin into a new daughter body. the yield strength is multiplied by one and a quarter. the first thirty two bytes of the genome are replaced with the hash of the rupture transaction. ruptures so far . total burned tokens.

the rupture record

#	slot	SOL	burned	daughter

of division.

each daughter is a full cell: its own genome, derived from the parent genome and the rupture hash, its own token account, and its own share of every future feed. feeds split evenly across all living bodies. bodies so far . the tree below is drawn from the daughter accounts.

fig. f. bodies and their parents.

of digestion.

if the coin's curve SOL reserves fall more than eight percent between one feed and the next, the cell enters the autolytic state and the feed that notices the fall burns tokens from the daughter bodies in proportion to the overshoot, up to a quarter of their holdings in one feed. the rest radius of the body on screen tracks the cell's share of supply, so a digestion is visible as a shrink. digestions so far .

of the gradient.

during a feed the program compares the tokens held across all bodies to the tokens held outside the curve. when the inside falls under two percent of the outside, a tenth of the cytosol buys the coin into the bodies on that same feed. the cell never sells. inward flows so far .

of touching.

the touch instruction takes one byte and nothing else. the byte is xored into the genome at the index given by the first byte of the sender's public key. it moves no funds and grants nothing. it leaves a mark that outlives the sender's wallet. last touch at slot by . touches so far .

the wallet button under the body sends a touch. that is its only purpose.

of the trades.

every swap on the coin, as birdeye reports it, newest first, each linked to its transaction on solscan.

the trade record

side	SOL	wallet	tx

of the curve.

the second body's value, read every second, plotted for the trailing hour.

fig. g. the second body, trailing hour.

of the coin.

there is a token. it is the cell's second body, distributed across whoever holds it. its address is printed here and nothing else about it is: , linked to `https://solscan.io/token/{address}`.

of permanence.

slots on solana do not reopen. a feed, a rupture, or a touch recorded at a slot stays at that slot after the wallet that sent it is gone, after this page is gone, and after the coin is forgotten. the program has no upgrade authority, no admin, no pause, and no close instruction. what has been written to the cell cannot be unwritten by anyone, including whoever deployed it.

of the reading.

every value on this page comes from one of two places. the program account, read over the rpc endpoint, supplies the genome, the counters, the records, the yield and the cytosol. birdeye, read through a server side proxy so no key is in the browser, supplies the number at the top, the trades and the chart. nothing is computed here that is not either read directly or derived from a read by a formula printed on this page or on the docs page.
